Bottle courtesy of dkachur. Pours gold with a generous white head. Smells of wheat, citrus, bubblegum, some grass and hay. Tastes lightly tarte and bitter with a nice citrussy finish.

12oz bottle. Clear golden amber color. White head. Appears to be filtered. Aroma of banana and wheat grain. Flavor has a nice cereal character. Along with fresh banana flavor, a hint of citrus zest, and grassy hops. Finishes with a bit of hop bitterness and a lot more banana. Yum.

1/5/2008:On tap at brewery. Pours crystal clear golden with good head. Strong taste of malty banana balanced with some spice. Straightforward for the style, but very nice nonetheless. 7/4/7/4/15/3.7 4/15/2008: FINALLY they bottled the stuff. 12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Pours a pale copper tinted straw color with a small head. Little lacing. Aroma is spicy banana. Taste is pretty much the same. A little thin bodied, but very drinkable. 7/4/7/3/14/3.5

On tap at the brewpub, perfectly clear gold with a decent head. Aroma is heavy on the banana with clove spice lurking in the back. Banana esters and clove phenols also dominate the flavor, with a light wheaty malt finish. Surprisingly tasty for what is normally a watered down take on wheat beers. Good stuff here.

(bottle) A clear gold body with a small, fluffy white head. Full aroma has lots of banana, some spice, sweet malt. Medium bodied, creamy, and slight fizziness.

A second take from a full bottle, having reviewed it initially from a very small serving: A clean looking, light golden blonde. Head retains alright, not a lot of lacing. Malts, cloves, sweetgrass. Some bubblegum aromas that float around quite nicely. Bubblegum, clove, and a grassiness. Banana as it approaches the finish, but quite mild. A touch of bitterness towards the finish that seems a little out of place, but still a decent experience overall. A little sticky, but not so much as to really damper the experience. As it gets warmer, this has a little more of a draw, and I can see myself having it a few times over the summer. It may start to seem a little bit thick after a few, though.

Draft sample at the brewery. Pale gold, clear, with white head. Aromas of straw, lemon, wheat, and some faint banana/bubblegum. Flavor is slightly tart lemon and wheat, lively carbonation, with a clean, drying finish. Tasty stuff, much better than many American takes on the wheat beers.
