On tap at the Virginia Beer Festival at Capital Ale House - Midlothian on 07/03/2009. Very clear golden body with a small frothy off-white head. Sweet pilsener malt aroma with some noble hops. Sweet pilsener malt flavor with some noble hops and a touch of honey. Medium light body with moderate carbonation.

Draft. Pours a crystal clear yellow with a foamy white head. It has a light nose with hints of perfume and a bit of malt. Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. Grain, alcohol, and light Saaz hop spiciness. Medium-short finish with a little lingering booziness. Great on a hot day and with an extra kick!

On tap at the brewpub. This is the best American pils I’ve tried in some time. Refreshing and well balanced, with a nice hop profile and bready malt backbone. The 2-ounce sample I had left me wanting much, much more. Yum.

Sampled at Virginia Beer Festival, one of the more eagerly awaited samples of the day, and it didn’t disappoint. Medium gold, clear. Faint, undefined hop aroma. Flavor was nice, crackery malts with a very complex hop component - spicy and floral, with a hint of anise. Really nice flavor, enjoyed it. What a great brewery.

Sampled on draft at the 2nd annual Virginia Beer Festival at Capital Ale House Midlothian. Pours a clear golden color with a thin head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of grainy malts with strong earthy, spicy hop notes. Taste is very bitterly hoppy with spicy notes. Also fruity peach notes and caramel. Full bodied. Blue Mountain impresses.... again.
