Low alcohol keeps it easy to drink while the blueberries makes it refreshing. They say blueberries help you keep a strong memory, so I guess drinking this ale is a wash. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 18, 2007 Bottle with "purchase before" date of October (presumably 2007). Waft of blueberry aroma while puring, although it doesn’t seem particularly strong once in the glass. Reddish tinged color (not blue); head fades quickly. Light bodied and moderately fizzy. The taste reminds me of blueberry seltzer water or maybe diet blueberry soda (if there is such a thing). More tart than sweet, but not a whole lot of either. Only a little bit of beer-ness underneath. The upside is that it is easy drinking for the summer. jredmond (1076), New Jersey, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 4, 2007 Bottle. Copper orange body with a pretty nice head that is mostly white, but seems to have a purple color to it every now and again. Aromas are overwhelmingly blueberry. Fairly nasty, really... Initial thoughts are that the blueberries do not mesh well with the malts... they are both off doing their own thing and they pull the palate in opposite directions. As it warms a little I’m beginning to like it more... (my hand was pretty close to the drain earlier), but I’m still not giving out any awards. Like many of the fruit mixes I’ve had, the beer and the fruit don’t seem to like to be together... instead it is more of a gimmick to sell a few brews and maybe someone out there will fall in love and buy a case, but not this guy. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 27, 2007 Pours a hazy amber colour with very little head that disapates quickly. The aroma smells like fresh blueberry muffins, but since it lacks any other complexity there, I don’t think it deserves a perfect aroma rating. Initial taste sweet and blueberry’s swarm the palate but not fresh blueberries more artifical blueberry, so the enjoyability of that taste is not that great. I understand this is a fruit beer but looking for some more complexity. Light carbonation and light body. This one doesn’t do it for me. cheapdark (2050), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 24, 2007 On tap at the Bocktown. I can smell the blueberries from here, very attractive. Has an appearance of a reddish ale, almost like rose wine. Head is thin and creamy looking. When it comes to taste, is not quite as sweet as the aroma would indicate but it certainly is fruity. More on the tart side. Except for the tartness, this brew is pretty much like many other fruit beers out there. You get a blast of fruit, in this case blueberries. Has medium low carbonation. Many wheat beers are used for the base but this seems to use a pale lager. The finish is an industrial mild pale lager building bitterness that hangs for a while. IMHO Lancaster strawberry wheat is much more enjoyable. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA
