These always look good on paper but never really turn out the way you’d hope. This one is about the same. An amber ale with blueberry juice in it. emerica56 (587), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 25, 2007 There is a nice dark amber color to it with a strong aroma of fruits and hopps. As you drink it you get an intence flavor of blueberry on the back of your palate. There is also some nice earthy flavors that stick around after drinking for a while. It is somewhat thicker bodied than average, but not by much. In general the beer has a nice sweet aftertaste to go along with a wheat taste. I can best liken it to blueberry pancakes. I’ve returned to BluePoint time and time again for this beer.
Re-rate: I had forgotten just how impressively blueberry this was. Drink4Satan (586), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 11, 2007 Pours a light and clear pale amber with a slightly fizzy white head. The aroma is blueberry...duh, but I feel this blueberry aroma is more authentically blueberry then other blueberry ales. The flavour, too is authentic in its presentation of the fruit flavour. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied and a bit slick, but not syrupy. There is a bit a caramel malt in the flavour, too. This is nothing amazing, but I can’t imagine any blueberry ale could be. zebracakes (1217), Washington DC, USA

Pours a clear, orangish-amber color; off-white head with patchy lacing. Pleasant, fruity blueberry aroma. Average-to-lively carbonation. Medium mouthfeel: blueberry presence is relaxed and nicely integrated into a solid golden ale presence; fruity without being overly sugary or cloying. Medium, fresh blueberry finish.
