The nose is all blueberry, but not the pseudo blueberry scent that so many fruit beers give off, this scent is definitely the real deal. It pours a gently blued golden color with a lightly laced head that, yes, has distinctive bluing to it. The flavor is of a soft wheat lager with a nicely distinct, yet not overpowering, blueberry taste. I would not get this again, myself, but if you like fruit beers, I must say this is one of the best. dunkelbitte (20), New Jersey, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 28, 2007 On tap. It pours like a normal amber ale. But the smell of blueberry is overpowering and takes over the experience. I actually like fruitiness in beer when done right, this ain’t it. Tastes like cough syrup. keepersj12 (809), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA

Blueberry shines through. Very light silky feel. Excellent thirst quencher for a hot day. Give this one a try. Ambrose (141), East Aurora, New York, USA

If it was possible to marry a smell then I would marry this smell and never cheat on it with any other smell. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

I love this aroma, freshly picked blueberries fresh with that mild spicy aroma, and some hops and citric notes. The color is purplish gold color with fizzy pinkish head. The palate is on the light side, very lively, with a huge blueberry flavor coupled with pale malt and hopcitrus. However, the taste is a bit of a letdown after experiencing the huge, fresh blueberry aroma. As a side bonus, I had huge blueberry hop burps for 2 hours after quaffing this one! Quickly dissipating, with little lacing. Strong aroma of sweet blueberries. Taste of blueberries, candy sugar and grains. It kind of tastes like duncan hines blueberry muffins. Thin texture. Not too bad, once in a while.
