I like one good blueberry ale a year. This one made it about half way there - not bad. A natural bblueberry taste, not over processed as some tend to be. Dropped a few ’real’ blueberries in there and it was very tasty. I’m sure you can imagine what the aroma and taste is like. A little light on texture on the palate - my one major complaint. It was not a hardy beer.

Bottle and draft. I tend to love blueberry flavored ales. Pours an amber ale with a thin white head. Aroma is blue berries, roasted malts, refreshing and the fruit is done right. If this was a bit more sour I think I could continue to drink this all night.

Bottle courtesy of abcfan, pours golden with white head. Maybe my immagination but looks like it has a slight blue tint. Aroma is blueberries and taste is the same. Nice clean finish with sweet after taste. Better than Sweetwater Blue.

I’m not normally one for fruit beers, but this was pretty good. It smells like blueberries, and the taste is blueberries that fades to malt by the end. Not a beer I’d drink every day, but it was an interesting change

THOUGHTS: Another one of the beers I bought for the Super Bowl. Years ago I wouldn’t think blueberries and beer would go well together, but I’ve found that to be false. And this is a good example of why that is false. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a slightly hazy, dark yellow with a small to average, fizzy, white head that mostly diminished and left virtually no lacing. The aroma was mostly blueberries. The initial flavor was lightly sweet; while the finish was moderately sweet, lightly bitter and ever so slightly sour with a short duration. It was mostly blueberry that was sweet at first then was slightly sour and a little bitter, but still blueberry. The lightly body was sort of creamy and slightly watery with tingly carbonation and a slightly metallic and lightly astringent finish.

Free sample at Mo’s in Fairfield. Seems like Bluepoint is trying to make a name for themselves in Ct. Good mouth feel, a little tangy, and a compliant level of blueberry flavors. One of my top blueberry fruit beers.

Hooray you can finally get Blue Point in Connecticut. Light blueberry aroma with hints of malts. Very light clear orange color with a small white head. Light and mildly sweet to start off. Blueberries come through in the finish with a tangy sour flavor. Lots of carbonation in the end.

Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Aroma is a blueberry muffin. It’s very sweet and nice but that’s really all that’s there. Light, crisp body, a little to much carbonation for my tongue. Flavor is sweet blueberry juice and a little bit of malt. Very one dimensional, but as far as fruit beers go this one isn’t to awful.
