The aroma is undenniably blueberry. This beer is a good example of how to flavor a quality beer. The flavors start out malty with a good balance of hops. Then they follow up with a good bit of berry flavor. Very good. FROTHINGSLOSH (2036), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 14, 2007 Updated: Sep 1, 2008Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a red-amber color with a small white head. The aroma was strong with artificial blueberry. The flavor was sweet, fruity and strong with an artificial blueberry element that overwhelmed everything else. There was not a whole lot of "beer" like flavor to this one. Disappointing. tgncc (838), Bellmore, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 7, 2007 Big surprise!!! I really enjoyed this beer. The aroma was blueberries, complemented with blueberries, with a hint of blueberries. The appearance was appealing: a nice amber with the slight purple haze reminding me of...BLUEBERRIES!! The flavor is that of standard wheat ale, augmented by... you guessed...blueberries. The finish has a pleasant linger, more blueberries. In spite of the strong presence of blueberries, this was a decent ale, good on a summer day. I bought thi on a cold December evening on the train, since it was a choice between this and Coors Light (AAAAHHHH!!!). I was pleasantly surprised. I would actually serve this to guests in my home. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 28, 2007 From one bottle: It tastes decent, not that much like blueberries. A little bit of hops and very slight malt flavor. It just doesn’t have much taste and not much going for it.
Almost no head, amber color with slight blue tint. Finished smooth, no aftertaste. Did they engineer some no-aftertaste formula? It seems like many beers have a smooth finish these days. cbkschubert (2008), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 5, 2007 12 oz. bottle my mother-in-law brought back from NY - Pours a slightly hazy bronze color with a thin white head. Aroma is a light bluberry. Has a light berry flavor with little else. Light to medium body. Slight lingering berry aftertaste. Worth a try. Jayb0 (752), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 2, 2007 Not bad, a decent blueberry nose and not overdone. Sweet, fresh blueberry undercurrent leaves a slight tang in the finish. Otherwise a decently balanced and drinakable beer. crazyvin (1254), New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 1, 2007 A sample from a bottle. Not a big fan of fruit beers, but this one was actually pretty good. Aroma was of fresh blueberries and some nice wheat notes. Flavor was similar to a crumb blueberry pie. Sweet fruit notes mildly sweet grains. Carbonation seemed slightly above moderate. I really liked the fact that the blueberry flavor seemed natural to me and not forced like other ones i have had.
