Sampled at Blue Point in Patchogue. Pours a transparent, straw yellow with a thin, fizzy white head. Aroma is grassy, a little boozy, a little sweet. Flavor is all sweetness, white sugar, slight honey, grass, straw. Finish is slightly slick. A double pilsner? I don’t know.

Draft. Pours golden body with a white head. Sweet with fruity esters and a grainy full body with a thin earthy hoppiness and lots of cereal notes. Decent.

Draft. Pours gold with a thin white head. Light sweet fruity aroma, with some grainy malts. The flavor has a light sweetness, a light boozy hint, and some hoppy bitterness in the finish. Good, not great.

Tap @ Blind Tiger. Pours a deep gold with a small white head. Aroma is grain and hops. Taste is grain up front with a decent hop bitterness at the end. Beer is sort of fizzy, and surprisingly weak given what it is. It’s decent, but not great.

A very good pilsner. Dry finish. not overly hoppy. Tastes like a pilsner should taste. Another great beer from Blue Point.

Imperial pint pour @ the Ginger Man. Color is completely dull golden and has a foamy thick head, which is pillow-y and mellows slowly. Aroma is very non-bright herbal hops, there but not shining through. They are strong yet dull. Has lots of very thick white bread maltiness behind it. Taste is very grainy cereal malts with a strong hop kick, nothing too vibrant or interesting in terms of hops. A long bitterness follows, which actually becomes a bit too astringent in the dry hopping. It tries to be delicate yet aggressive all at the same time. Its got the parts just needs to meld better.

On tap at the Golden Rail. Pours a clear light golden yellow with a medium white head. Smells of hot grain and alcohol, with a faint background of citrus. Thin, with a big grain and metal flavor (I get a lot of this in most BP brews sadly), and a bit sweet. Finishes with more sweetness, and more metal.
