Blue Point Hoptical Illusion

bottle: weizen: pours a clear yellow/ amber, lots of tiny pour bubbles. The nose is very hopp. The taste is very bitter upfront, not much else... honestly a bit annoying after awhile...

Great session IPA. This is won I keep around for friends getting into IPAs and when having a BBQ.

(Draught) Amber and clear. Medium sized white head. Citricness, hops and malts in aroma. Medium bodied palate with medium carbonation. Malts, citriceness, hops and bitterness in taste. Malty and bitter aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours golden-orange color with foamy head. Aroma is earthy, floral and citrusy. Flavors of caramel, citrus, and spice. Leans toward EIPA. A little musty and muddled.

Bottle: Poured a clear medium amber color ale with a rather large foamy head with OK retention and no lacing. Aroma of medium bitter hops with some floral notes. Taste is a nice enough mix between some bitter hops with a stronger then expected caramel malt backbone. Body is a bit thin for style with good carbonation. Not bad though a bit shy on the hops for the style.

Pours a medium bodied golden with a white foamy head. Aromas of pine and citrus hops with a touch of candy and some caramel. Flavors of the pine and some citrus with a small caramel malt backbone. Touch of sweetness, bitter, slightly dry and crisp end. The abv of my bottle was 6.8.

As the name implies, a very hoppy brew that is sure to please IPA lovers. Great texture and flavor.

Blue point hoptical illusion minimal aroma, soft cat box some leafy floral hops sweet malt lime in flavor as well. A little funky hop, citrus and sweet malt. A touch of sour citrus fruit drikns pleasant. Golden with thin head spotty lace. 7 3 7 3 14
