On tap at the brewery on in Patchogue. I dont think this beer lives up to its reputation as being the flagship brew. Pours a copper color, very hoppy as the name suggets with a floral and citrusy aroma. However taste was absent and the bitterness didnt have anything to balance it out. Very one dimensional beer. Not bad but I was expecting more.

355 mL bottle, marked as 6.8%. (bb Oct ’08). Copper with a small light beige head. Nice lacing. Strong aroma of C-hops, with some berries and caramel underneath. Nicely balanced flavour, with pine and citrus from the hops, and a thinnish sweetness from the malt. The bitterness is not as overpowering as some American IPAs; some may say it is not overwhelming enough. Body and carbonation seem about right. Good, but nothing to make this one stand out in a crowd.

Bottle thanks to goldtwins. Clear light amber with a tight thead. Nice sweet malt and piney hop aromas. Smooth, medium body. Decent grainy, lightly sweet bready pale malt flavor with a tasty piney hop bitterness to finish. Nice ipa

Bottle courtesy tpd975. Pours a nice golden sheen, with frothy filmy white head and fizzy lacing. Mango aromas, other notes of citrus and a nice herbal floral touch. Some vanilla, too. Flavor has plenty of malts to counteract with the hops, which are fairly mellow here. Again vanilla makes an appearance. Medium-bodied, nice full set of flavors, sweet but not cloying.

Courtesy of tpd975. I love the name of this beer. Very cool. It pours clear gold with white head. The aroma is sweet with mild grapefruit, tangelo and orange peel. The taste is much the same with a pulse of sweet orange juice mixed with grapefruit juice. The grapefruit builds and bitters as the taste progresses. The bitterness seems to peak at the finish and leaves a tasty sensation behind. Feels a bit on the watery side from time to time.

Bottle. Pours a light orange with a small white head. Aroma of pine bitterness and citrus. Flavor dominated by sharp pine bitterness which bites at the palate. Some hop oils and a barely there malt backbone. This is a decent IPA.

Bottle. Aroma of citrus and floral hops, ever so slight malt. Flavor continues to lean very much toward the hops with JUST enough malt to keep it from lacking all body and character. Hangs on the edge of a 3+, but does firmly establish itself there by glass’s end.

Bottle. Pours amber with a small head. Aroma is floral hops - some citrus. Take is a nice cascade. Not bad.
