Goodgrief (1144), Middletown, Delaware, USA Feb 16, 2008 Nov. 2006 - Pour was copper colored, two fingered head that left amazing lacing...rings at every sip which just hung around. Yeasties left in chunks at the bottom. Okay, after the amazing appearance, this is just a typical run of the mill grapefruit filled IPA. Some sweet malties as well, but really harsh grapefruit bitterness and a oily mouthfeel that wasn’t overly pleasant. Forgettable, except for the way it looked. RCL (1443), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA Feb 15, 2008 It is quite malty for an IPA. Very citrusy hop character, lemon and grapefruit all the way. rustbucket0873 (145), Krikville, New York, USA Feb 6, 2008 Copper almost bright color with small head. Flowery and citrusy hop aroma with notes of black currant. More flowery-citrusy hops in the flavor with firm honeyish malt backbone. Soft bittersweet and honeyish finish.
chicagodri (1021), Chicago, Illinois, USA Feb 6, 2008 A decent IPA. Pours a hazy orange with a thin white head. A nice hoppy aroma, but it is not overpowering. A little bitter aftertaste and a almost a slick feeling to the mouth. Nice amount of citrus and pine hops to the beer though. Pretty well balanced, I thought it was a lighter IPA. Davinci (295), Chicago, Illinois, USA Feb 5, 2008 A decent IPA, not unlike many others that are popping up like crazy.
Pours a hazy orange to amber with little head, but some thin lacing. Decent hop aroma, with some citrus and earthy hops. Grapefruit flavor with pleasant bitter finish. Flavor of bitter citrus peal lingers pleasantly.
Decent session beer, but nothing extrodinary. treadyroc (112), St. Leonard, Maryland, USA Feb 2, 2008 Not a whole lot of discernible aroma, nor flowery hop flavor, but very clean. Pours a light amber, with a quickly diminishing head. Borders on session beer quality. vadavid (131), Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA Feb 2, 2008 Pours a light amber color with a thick, frothy head. Heads fades quickly leaving lots of sticky lacing. Aroma is a blend of citrus and pine hops. The taste brings both citrus and piney flavors, the citrus component taking the forefront. Some sweet malt in the background. The hops flavor is more subdued than I had expected for an IPA. The aftertaste leaves a slight bitterness and some stickiness. Miksu (2187), Jyväskylä, Finland Jan 26, 2008 12 oz bottle. Copper almost bright color with small head. Flowery and citrusy hop aroma with notes of black currant. More flowery-citrusy hops in the flavor with firm honeyish malt backbone. Soft bittersweet and honeyish finish.
