Pours a hazy orange to amber with little head, but some thin lacing. Decent hop aroma, with some citrus and earthy hops. Grapefruit flavor with pleasant bitter finish. Flavor of bitter citrus peal lingers pleasantly.
Decent session beer, but nothing extrodinary. treadyroc (112), St. Leonard, Maryland, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Not a whole lot of discernible aroma, nor flowery hop flavor, but very clean. Pours a light amber, with a quickly diminishing head. Borders on session beer quality. vadavid (131), Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Pours a light amber color with a thick, frothy head. Heads fades quickly leaving lots of sticky lacing. Aroma is a blend of citrus and pine hops. The taste brings both citrus and piney flavors, the citrus component taking the forefront. Some sweet malt in the background. The hops flavor is more subdued than I had expected for an IPA. The aftertaste leaves a slight bitterness and some stickiness. Miksu (2218), Jyväskylä, Finland
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 26, 2008 12 oz bottle. Copper almost bright color with small head. Flowery and citrusy hop aroma with notes of black currant. More flowery-citrusy hops in the flavor with firm honeyish malt backbone. Soft bittersweet and honeyish finish. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 20, 2008 On tap at some joint in Brooklyn. I’ve had a lot of good IPAs lately, and this is certainly a fine example of the style. It’s hopped up nicely, with a very wet and citrusy character that reminds me of Two Hearted. It’s not quite as balanced or as rich, but this is fine, drinkable stuff. hoppopotamus (182), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 19, 2008 Updated: Jan 25, 2009Orange/amber with a small white head, leaves lacing. Lots of fine sediment. Aroma is strong fruity hops, but the flavor lacks the full hop flavor that I expected, the bitterness is there but could have used more. A fine IPA, but not the best. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 19, 2008 Updated: Sep 12, 2009This was tasted at the Blue Ridge Bevaerage Distributor in Salem , VA. It has a great aroma of citrus. The 6.2% alcohol is well balanced with the hops and malts. The color was golden with a full head. This is a solid IPA worth seeking out. The smooth finish with some bitterness just the way I like my IPA. IPAs are what beer drinking is designed for. another on 9/12/09 the alcohol is higher 6.8 %. The golden clear color and frothy white head are very inviting. Ghett0Gary (23), Belmar, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 19, 2008 Banana smell to this IPA, nice head. Different style of IPA with a slight fruit taste. Not so strong of a flavor compared to typical IPAs.
