Bottle. Thanks, goldtwins! Pours hazy apricot with a thin white head that leaves small, concentric rings of lace. Peachy aroma, with sweet citrus and pine backing it up. Basically, the ’Pavlov’s dog’ aroma for me. Medium-light body, bordering on watery, with fairly active carbonation. The taste starts sweet, just a little toffee along with the fruit. As I expected, the pine catches up with the other flavors in the crisp finish.

The first whiff knocked me off my feet. Intense resin/pine aroma... by far my favorite. Flavor is not so great but still pretty good. More piney hops with a little orangey citrus notes. This may sound weird but I say it as a good thing... it tastes a little fishy. Very fresh cod to be exact. Nicely balanced by the sweetness of the malt. Cheers!

On tap at Dukes in NYC. Hoppy and drinkable but nothing special. Was good with some chips.

Dark golden to amber in color. Taller - turning rocky, light beige head. Sweet grapefruit aromas dominate. Hints of cedar and pale malt also in the scents. Sharp flavors from the start, with bitter pine and grapefruit. The middle seems to mellow a bit with a smoother more balanced attach on the palate. Liquid is a bit lifeless. Finish has a mild grapefruit zest kick and the linger is just a general bitter pill.

This draft brew from the Ale House in Johnson City NY beer bar poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were and left behind a transparent typically carbonated orange colored body and an excellent lacing. The weak aroma was hoppy and floral. The crisp semi-thick mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a medium malty aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of hops. An OK brew just nothing special.

Pours very golden with some amber. Could be mistaken as a Budweiser in my mug. Little head that dies quick. Sticky lacing on the glass. Smells of pine, cirtrus, orange and hops. Taste isnt too complex but very nice and finishes hoppy and dry. Feels a tad thin and undercarbonated. Overall a tasty beer and extremely drinkable, especially on a hot day.

12-12-07 bottle.
Hoppy sweet aroma with hints of honey in there as well. Very cutting and dry taste and finish. Not soapy really at all. Clear amber color with average head. Nice dry hoppy flavor with a good palate.

Brightish gold color with a slight amber orangey cast to it. Small, slimming cap of off-white foam. A whispy skim is always present and the lace is adequately placed across the glass in some boney fingered strings and lots of spots. Aroma is dullish of orange peels and a touch of grapefruity pineyness. Notes to melony sweetness, smokey resin touches, and some toasted grains and grassyness. Taste is rounded well with a clean, unbittered hop tone of lightly crunchy and fairly crisp hopped up leafyness which is squeezing out some softly delicate touches of orangeyness and red grapefruit. Notes of toasted malt and pine merge well in the finish and lingers there for a decent length of impression. Clean, crunchy, crisp, and rounded with a nice balance all wrapped in a solid medium body. Keeps a good, firm tone and grab the whole way through and has a nice complexing, low-ended bitter pined finish that lasts well and keeps ya coming back for more. A very good drinking IPA due to its lower bitterness and firm clean body and taste.
