Dec 18, 2007 On tap at The Old Toad in Rochester, NY. Appearance: Amber with an off white head. Aroma: Strong hops, some sweetness in the background. Palate: Medium, good mouthfeel. Flavor: Strong hops, sweet lemony/citrus malts. Overall: The hops really smacks you in the face, but the malt balances it nice. Kind of a dry finish.

Dec 16, 2007 Poured from bottle. Amber, thin head. Aroma - hops. Now the flavor, big hops with a creamy, malt base. A real nice mix for an IPA. Lacing coats the glass. Finished as well as it started. A great IPA.

Dec 15, 2007 Updated: May 22, 2008Bottle drank at some crazy hole in the wall in Washington, PA with Casper. Pours a deep amber. The body is light and has a small head. A real hoppy flavor and aroma. Also some nice malt and citrus flavors. A great IPA, smooth and refreshing.

Dec 15, 2007 Tap at the Cloverleaf tavern in Caldwell NJ. Bright amber in the glass with tight dense white head. Hops andplums in the nose. Tight rings of lace. A subdued hoppyness is the result of well balanced malts. It nice not to have an IPA attempt to beat me over the head. Easy drinking and enjoyable.

Slightly hazed honey color with a small white head. Smell is nice fruity sweet hops. Not over the top but very nice nose. Taste is fruity, slight tea hints, but mild bitterness and agummy slightly full mothfeel. Bit of a grainy malt sweetness in the finish and very nice IPA overall.

Dec 10, 2007 12 oz. Pours golden with a slight amber hue. small, white lacing head that disapates quickly. Citrus and hop nose, lemon and grapefruit. Sweet start with a medium bitterness, a touch of citrus and grass. Sweetness of brown sugar and carmel, touch of chocolate. The finish is a muddle sweet with some bitter. It’s a bit heavy. The bitterness lingers through the after. Ok, that it.

Dec 9, 2007 Bottled. Mild aroma. Fruity with hoppy undertone, but rather dull and stale for an IPA. A bit of sour milk, too. Dull golden-amber clear, with thin off-white lacing head. Medium watery body with medium to light carbonation. Starts with some caramel malt, light brown sugar and some neutral fruity sweetness. A bit of astringent graininess and followed by mild dull hop bitterness. Medium sweet tang at the end that goes well with the bitterness, but it just a bit heavy to suit the palate. Unbalanced. After is medium dry bitterness with semi sweet brown sugar.

Dec 4, 2007 I have had this in a bottle and out of a 1/4 keg. The taste was much better from the keg obviously because it came from the brewery. It has a nice white head and low carbonation making it an easy beer to drink and enjoy. This beer has a wonderful aroma and if you enjoy hops I recommend this beer.
