illinismitty (1790), Nashville, Tennessee, USA May 9, 2006 Bottle. Pours amber with off white head. Mild hop aroma of citrus. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium with a moderate texture. Noticeable malt profile complimented by some orangey flavors from the hops. Finishes bitter, dry, and very astringent. Nothing spectacular in my opinion IndiaDaleAle (35), Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA May 9, 2006 I am not into the hoppy beers, but this had a wonderful mix of hops and citrus. It left a nice taste on the palate, which I do not believe a hoppy beer does. My favorite IPA. thehipone (197), Australia May 8, 2006 Smells wonderfully of citrusy hops with just a hint of pine. Medium bodied, orange-dark gold color. Loads of hop flavor, oranges and grapefruit abound with a pleasing hint of pine that was in the aroma coming through at the end. Not a hop bomb in terms of bitterness, but has a nice clean and SMOOTH bitter finish. no sign of harsh/metallic bitterness. Tasty. Naven (864), Poway, California, USA May 3, 2006 Bottle courtesey of Jimbowood. Pours a nice color, with a pretty good aroma. Taste is a bit harsh & dry with very little sweetness to balance it out. This would be a pretty good IPA if it was a little less dry. Average. TomDecapolis (3130), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 29, 2006 On tap at Ortinos Northside. Pours a translucent golden orange with an average foamy off white head that left some lacing. Aroma of orange hops with a malty balanace and more of a fresh hop aroma as it warmed. Flavor of pine, citrus, light bitterness, metallic and a little watery. sayravai (3720), Helsinki, Finland Apr 29, 2006 (Bottled) Clear brandy-amber color with a very small head. Very grassy-hoppy aroma with blackcurrant, boysenberry and pine-resiny hints. Strongly birch-pine-grassy-hoppy flavor with herby strawberry leaves. Medium-bodied, dry and bitter, astringent palate with quite low carbonation. An enjoyable, bitter, good-quality, maybe slightly harsh IPA. WISEGUY572 (1244), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 28, 2006 I love IPAs but I did not love this one. Beautiful gold with a large white head — looks great. Good hoppy nose. A bit thin in the mouth, dry and harsh. Moderate bitterness, not extreme like a DFH 90 or a Victory Hop Devil, but still without sufficient malt for balance. Not very complex and not very interesting. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA Apr 23, 2006 Pours a medium dark golden yellow. Aromas of citrus hops and a touch of pale malts. Flavor is crisp bitter citrus hop with a nice lingering aftertaste.
