whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 22, 2006 Clear, deep golden body with an ample, lingering white head. Aroma of mangos, citrus, and a faint hint of cheese. Flavor has sylvan hop qualities plus some mild graininess. Mostly drying and clean. Seems a little weak in character. Not bad, but not an exceptional IPA by any means. sniper7mm (2), Huntingtown, Maryland, USA does not count Apr 22, 2006 Nice amber color. Bite is not as strong as I expected. Citrus type hop flavor. Slightly sweet finish. I will try this one again, but prefer more bite in my IPA. lordeche (397), Quincy, Massachusetts, USA Apr 14, 2006 Pours slightly hazy golden color. Aroma of citrus hoppiness and sweet malts that ends up smelling a bit like blueberry. Nice boldness in the first sip, not quite bitter, but it has a nice hoppy essence. Nice floral hop flavor balanced with slight malty finish. I like the amount of hoppy flavor in this one, but the hops taste a bit raw at times. I’m happy I tried this one. warrior (213), Mt. Wolf, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 12, 2006 Beer is a light amber color with a small white head that faded fast. Aromas of citrus type hop with some fruity esters with a mild malt mixed in. A medium amount of hop bitterness and flavor for an IPA. Finish has a little citrus type fruit followed with a some biscut type malt flavors. The beer is a decent session type IPA that I could have 3 or more. It just isn’t as assertive as I like my IPA. Overall a good easy drinking beer. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Mar 21, 2006 12 oz bottle. Golden colour, thick off-white head. Beautiful hoppy aroma. Simcoe pinyness and some tropical pineapple notes. Soft resiny character. Great fresh hoppy aroma. Sweet apricot in the malt profile as well. Flavour is quite good, light resin underneath a fresh herbaceous hop flavour. Some sweet tropical and slightly piny notes. The malts show a bit of breadiness and toast, but the hops dominate here. Aroma is all PNW but the flavour is a little less so. Tasty IPA. jimbowood (947), Athens, Georgia, USA Mar 20, 2006 Bottle from nejhleader pours golden blonde w/ a white head w/ good lacing. Subtle fruity, flowery hop aroma matched by delicate flowery hop flavor. Not aggressively hopped. Drinkable w/ little hop bitterness but big hop fruitiness. Really good beer. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 20, 2006 Pours an orange amber color with a large fizzy white head. Aroma of citrus, fresh pine hoppy smell, and sweet malts. Flavor is sweet op front, nice malty body with a hoppy bitter finish, damn good brew. intouch (15), Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 19, 2006 Nirvana for hop heads! A great hoppy beer! I would serve this to friends anytime. If you like Seierra Nevada Celebration, you’ll love this beer.
