Apr 29, 2006 On tap at Ortinos Northside. Pours a translucent golden orange with an average foamy off white head that left some lacing. Aroma of orange hops with a malty balanace and more of a fresh hop aroma as it warmed. Flavor of pine, citrus, light bitterness, metallic and a little watery.

Apr 29, 2006 (Bottled) Clear brandy-amber color with a very small head. Very grassy-hoppy aroma with blackcurrant, boysenberry and pine-resiny hints. Strongly birch-pine-grassy-hoppy flavor with herby strawberry leaves. Medium-bodied, dry and bitter, astringent palate with quite low carbonation. An enjoyable, bitter, good-quality, maybe slightly harsh IPA.

Apr 28, 2006 I love IPAs but I did not love this one. Beautiful gold with a large white head — looks great. Good hoppy nose. A bit thin in the mouth, dry and harsh. Moderate bitterness, not extreme like a DFH 90 or a Victory Hop Devil, but still without sufficient malt for balance. Not very complex and not very interesting.

Apr 23, 2006 Pours a medium dark golden yellow. Aromas of citrus hops and a touch of pale malts. Flavor is crisp bitter citrus hop with a nice lingering aftertaste.

Apr 22, 2006 Clear, deep golden body with an ample, lingering white head. Aroma of mangos, citrus, and a faint hint of cheese. Flavor has sylvan hop qualities plus some mild graininess. Mostly drying and clean. Seems a little weak in character. Not bad, but not an exceptional IPA by any means.

Apr 22, 2006 Nice amber color. Bite is not as strong as I expected. Citrus type hop flavor. Slightly sweet finish. I will try this one again,but prefer more bite in my IPA.

Apr 14, 2006 Pours slightly hazy golden color. Aroma of citrus hoppiness and sweet malts that ends up smelling a bit like blueberry. Nice boldness in the first sip, not quite bitter, but it has a nice hoppy essence. Nice floral hop flavor balanced with slight malty finish. I like the amount of hoppy flavor in this one, but the hops taste a bit raw at times. I’m happy I tried this one.

Apr 12, 2006 Beer is a light amber color with a small white head that faded fast. Aromas of citrus type hop with some fruity esters with a mild malt mixed in. A medium amount of hop bitterness and flavor for an IPA. Finish has a little citrus type fruit followed with a some biscut type malt flavors. The beer is a decent session type IPA that I could have 3 or more. It just isn’t as assertive as I like my IPA. Overall a good easy drinking beer.
