merlin48 (509), New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA Jun 10, 2009 Nice looking pour, with a clear and radiant orange amber body and medium offwhite head. Aroma of grapefruit and toasty caramel. Taste has a grainy caramel maltiness edged by a bitter grapefruity hoppiness. Pine notes add even more hop presence. A solid American IPA but not a worldbeater. MmmcKay (269), Brentwood, Tennessee, USA Jun 7, 2009 Butters 6th Cellar Reduction. Getting pretty full after 6 slices of pizza but going strong. Light clear gold in color. Sweet tropical fruit hops on the nose. Pineapple and a touch of malt. Not nearly as tropical in flavor. Kind of back to IPA basics for flavors. Very typical. Well put together though. Barrios (852), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jun 7, 2009 Pours a golden orange body and an off-white head with legs. Smells of citrus and spice hops. Malt is forward on flavor with citrus hop in the back. Finish is resin and bitter. beerandIT (177), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 7, 2009 Pours golden amber with just under half an inch of head. I am getting hops, citrus notes, floral notes, slight malt and a bitter smell. A medium bodied beer. The head retention seems to be okay so far. Nice carbonation as well, must be a fresh one. On the palate I am getting hops, citrus bite, bitter flavor, slight floral characteristics. I am telling this is an east coast IPA. Not too bad. gpekar (221), Maryland, USA Jun 7, 2009 Poured a clear golden amber with a tall creamy off-white head. There was a nice amount of carbonation bubbles rising in the glass. There was a fresh pine scent and a little bit of grapefruit aroma. The initial taste was crisp and clean with a nice roll to a hop bite. There was some grapefruit and pine in the flavor. The finish had a nice strong hop bite. There was a decent carbonation to the beer and the head left a nice amount of lacing Butters (1622), Virginia, USA May 27, 2009 Pours a very clear light golden amber with wispy near white head. Sweet pineapple, some graininess, and a nice floral hop finish. Solid IPA. Great name and a terrific label. JediMindTricks (240), Hampton, Virginia, USA May 27, 2009 Its not the strongest, but it is very smooth and drinkable...it is what it is... TheCaptain (526), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA May 20, 2009 Bottle- An average pour, yellow gold with white head. Some citrus and slight hop-pine on the nose but the illusion was the hops, what happened to them! Seemed to vanish into thin air. Turned out to be an average ale with no real trick.
