DalzAle (476), Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA Apr 19, 2009 Golden yellow pour, medium carbonation and a pine citrus aroma. Flavor was a little orange, some malt, and some hops and interesting funk on the aftertaste. Ok beer, nothing more. tekhna (100), California, USA Apr 15, 2009 Not a bad IPA by any means, just nothing interesting. I’ve been told this is a good example of Simcoe hops, but maybe my bottle isn’t so fresh, I’m not getting too much in the way of the hops. An interesting orange color, no lingering head and no traces left. I probably wouldn’t buy it again, but that’s neither her nor there. GandGKevin (183), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Apr 11, 2009 Not very aromatic. Slight tingly sensation on the tongue from the hops. The flavors really pop on the backend of the palate. Overall a nicely done IPA. BroSpud (584), , Massachusetts, USA Apr 8, 2009 12oz screwtop. Nothing spectacular here but I really like hoppy IPAs so rating it a bit higher than I probably should. That said, it could be a whole lot hoppier if it wants to live up to it’s name. joshwilfong (769), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Apr 2, 2009 orangish with white head. moderate carbonation. grassy hop to the nose. solid hop bitterness comes through, some type of Western US hop. hop flavor with Columbus’s classic grassy notes. malt backbone comes through, but is somewhat metallic and not very enjoyable. clean finish, little esters, but some. an average IPA at best, but I do enjoy the Columbus usage. jmm635 (249), Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 10, 2009 Bottled. Poured a completely clear copper color with an off white creamy head. Weak aroma - mostly wet hops, grapefruit, and malts. I got a much stronger malt taste than hops, which is exactly opposite of what I want an IPA to be. Not all bad, but low scores from me because I don’t think this really resembles an IPA. zapprentice (309), East Setauket, New York, USA Mar 3, 2009 Not terribly impressed by this IPA. Run of the mill for me. fairly nice hops, not getting too much of the malt though. Citrus undertones. jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA Feb 21, 2009 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Gold in color with a small off-white head. Aroma is of hops, sweet oranges, grass, and straw. Taste is moderately hoppy with some citrus and peaches.
