| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 28, 2005 Clear golden hue. lasting white film tops it all. The nose is big, bright and hoppy. Citric and fuelic, oily and straightforward, not unpleasant though. The pale malts feel very biscuity on the palate. Slight earthy hints, short finish, oily and very dry. Bitterness is long-lasting, I thought this was an imperial IPA at some point, but the body is very light on the tongue, procuring just a faint creaminess and strong woody dryness. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 6, 2005 Bottle. Clear, light golden ale with a mid-sized, white, frothy head. Terrific, splattered lacing. The aroma is citrusy and piney. Surprisingly well-balanced flavor with notes of grapefruit and juniper berries. Very light toffee and white bread. A bit thin. Medium-bodied and astringent with fizzy carbonation. Lengthy, astringent, dry finish. CaptainCougar (5525), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 12, 2005 Pours a clear bright golden with a thin, lightly lacing white head. Aroma has a nice piney hoppy presence and subtle pale maltiness. Starts smei-sweet, turning more bitter toward a thin, but hoppy finish. Nicely balanced, crisp and enjoyable, a good IPA. Thanks goldtwins!
