Flavor has same piney hop bite with some cirus sweetness and faint malt in the background. Long lingering spicy hop aftertaste. Nice lacing. A little one dimensional. Green hop aroma with tones of peaches, pine, lychee, grapefruit and other citrus fruits. The malt is a bit syrupy and tiny caramelly. Fruity, hoppy flavour with tones of pine, oranges, grapefruit, apricot, pineapple and a small floral touch. Soft mouthfeel with a mega dry ending. Medium to full bitterness. Medium body. Nice. jason (1624), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 20, 2008 Bottled October 2008. Pours a clear light amber with a fast receding off white head but decent lacing. Nose is lots of sweet caramel – most of the hops have left. Taste is pretty much the same with a mild pine bitterness in the finish. Medium, sticky mouth feel. I think this one is past its prime unfortunately. I’ll have to rerate it if I can score a fresher one to do it justice. I’ll give it higher score than it deserves now, as I think it’s a better beer than what i’m drinking. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 24, 2009 Golden amber with a small head. Nose and flavor of diacetyl, light citrus, sweet malt. Overrun with buttery flavors that ruin this beer for me. beastiefan2k (1605), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 23, 2009 I rated this beer just to move up the Blue Point top raters list, I actually haven’t rated the 2 most common brews. Fortunately, this is a beer I actually like and have had numerous samples over numerous years. This particular rate was on tap at Rattle’n’Hum, imperial pint to boot as well. Aroma is all hoppy (fruit punch and sweet bubblegum) and fresh. Flavor is similar with no malt getting in the way at all. Easy drinking stuff, good hop character with no flaws. I can see myself keep drinking this for years to come. Saarlander (1583), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA

Thanks to my Secret santa for this one! obxdude10 (1563), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 10, 2006 Slightly hazy copper appearance, decent sized off-white head with good lacing around the glass, aroma full of hops, earth & citrus, full-bodied & very drinkable, beautifully hopped flavors with an excellent mix & blend of malt, very nicely balanced, slight pine & citrus flavors as well, nice malty finish with just the right amount of hops in the aftertaste, this beer begs you to keep coming back for more, and I, naturally, get sucked in & keep drinking it, great IPA
