Smooth body and good taste, but not with the typical IPA bite associated with most. Smooth ending, very nice overall. glennmastrange (868), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Mar 13, 2007 Bottle. To me IPAs are all about aromas, and this beer has it in spades. A perfect balance of moderate smells of hops and malt. Notes of caramel, cookie and grapefruit immediately stood out. Hints of pine, dough and maybe a little cherry follow. Head is frothy with excellent lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is a clear orange/red. Taste starts out lightly acidic and is lightly bitter in the long finish. Palate is medium light, oily with soft cabonation. I can’t wait to visit this brewery next time I’m in LI. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 4, 2006 Orange with a thick off-white head. Spotty lacing. Aroma of sweet grapefruit and pine resin. Sweet malts and spice flavours balanced out the hops, maybe a little too much so, and there was some residual yeast on the finish (though it could just be from this specific rack). Palate was basically watery for the style, but this beer is still very drinkable and it might appeal to those pale ale drinkers turned off by the "hop bombs" of some IPAs. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 7, 2008 Nice aroma of citrusy/grapefruit hops. The appearance is standard for an IPA, yellow with a tinge of red, very inviting. Nice crisp taste, with a good balance between fruitiness and the bitterness of the hops. Very pleasant, hoppy finish. Decent carbonation. Medium mouthfeel. Good IPA overall. KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Smell of hops, malt, caramel, grapefruit, pine and appriocots. Taste of grapefruit, hops, malt, pine, orange peal and flowers. Decent IPA. afireinside96 (839), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 22, 2009 Bottle, served in a Duvel tulip. Clear amber pour topped by a small white head. The smell is mostly caramel, slightly perfumey, with hints of grass and nuts. The flavor is citrus, caramel, grass, slightly metallic. Has an alcohol flavor in the finish. While there are much worse IPAs out there much better ones are easy to get your hands on.
