Nov 20, 2008 Partly cloudy copper body with a long lasting white head. Intense oak, pine and orange zest aroma. Body felt tailor made for a cask conditioning, soft, viscous and oily. This oily texture holds together eathy spices and citrus fruits flavours. The malt is there to support the flavours but not add to them. The carbonation was very soft even by cask standards. As far as american IPAs are concerned this one is more refreshing than aggressive. Very good. If you drink six of them, women start to look better than they really are, that’s what I call a Hoptical Illusion.

Jan 7, 2009 Bottle Pours a clear gold with a good white head. The head lasts very well and produces good lacing. Aroma is of hops and citrus. Very Smooth and lightly carbinated. Almost more flat than crisp, but is good. Has a very soft aftertaste. A very drinkable IPA. I personally like one a little more robust but this is good and you could drink many in one sitting.

Jun 10, 2007 I usually loved super hoppy beers but this one fell a little short to me. It had huge hop notes on the nose and htat translated into a big burst on the mouthfeel but the malt of the IPA took an extreme back seat. It needs to get into a bit more balance for this to be a big winner.

Apr 2, 2009 orangish with white head. moderate carbonation. grassy hop to the nose. solid hop bitterness comes through, some type of Western US hop. hop flavor with Columbus’s classic grassy notes. malt backbone comes through, but is somewhat metallic and not very enjoyable. clean finish, little esters, but some. an average IPA at best, but I do enjoy the Columbus usage.

Mar 8, 2005 This really is an outstanding beer. Every aspect of this beer was great. They didn’t seem to "over" do any portion from hoppiness, bitterness, aroma. Well balanced and very tasty.

Sep 12, 2007 Bottle. This is about as typical as it gets for a decent IPA. Strong citrusy hop bite with a bit of maltiness to balance. This is a solid IPA, but needs something a little extra to stand out.
