white head. Nice strong hop aroma with hints of grapefruit. Hops were not as noticeable in the flavor as the aroma, but they still stood out. A bit of citrus also with a dry finish. cfranz (261), Acton, Massachusetts, USA

As can be expected, it had a very hoppy aroma, little bit of dried fruit. Grassy on the aftertasted, well-blended and textured, overall a good specialty IPA. MrBunn (1561), Western, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 1, 2007 Bottle. Has an orange/amber color with a dense one finger head. Aromas are predominantly pine... a bit of a skunk cabbage smell that from time to time is detectable along with some grapefruit. Flavor is fairly heavy on the piney hops and is mostly bitter. That said, there is enough malt to make it mostly enjoyable. Refreshing but could have just a bit more of a malt presence. 1FastSTi (2590), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 11, 2005 Bottle via axilla. Best by mar, 06. The brew pours to a golden amber body with a gold hue to it. There is a dense and creamy/rocky white head. Excellent lacing. The aroma is hoppy with pine and peaches. Decent malt to it. The flavor is malty and bitter with pine and citrus hops. Light grapefruit and peaches. The palate is creamy, medium bodied with a light lasting bitterness and good feel. I could drink a bunch of this. Very malty for an IPA. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 1, 2005 A light hazed golden/copper with a thin but holding off-white head. Aroma suggests that sweet malts will accompay piney hops. Additional notes of Juicy Fruit® gum and grapefruit. Flavor is all hopped-up goodness, bitter and fruity within a well-carbonated, spicy mouthfeel. Malts are not as sweet as expected and provide enough balance to make this a sessionable IPA.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 18, 2007 Pours a pale orange with a thin but persistent ivory head. Some soapy looking lacing. Smell is somewhat citrusy but more herbal in the nose. No malt aromas evident.
Taste is dominated by the herbal hops. Bitter, herbal hops with just a hint of orange rind. Hops take the finish as well and the resinous hops stick to your tongue and your teeth. Not subtle, not complicated but pretty tasty with a unique blend of hops that balance bitter and sweet. Worth a look. jcwattsrugger (5581), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
