I had this after a couple of other DIPA’s and it held up nicely in terms of flavor, mouthfeel and aroma. Pours hazy, light orange/amber with creamy one finger head. Nice lacing. Big tangy, juicy citrus hops aroma....though not as big as the Loose Canon I had before this. My first Blue Point and I will be havin’ mo’ fo’ sho’. Kpfeifle (13), Patchogue, New York, USA

Blue Point Hoptical Illusion is a slightly sparkling golden ale with a dense white head that exhibits good retention. The aroma is spicy, fruity and grassy. It is medium bodied and smooth with a crisp finish. The flavor balance is good. It tastes a bit grainy and maybe slightly phebolic. Not bad. keepersj12 (824), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA

Very citrus earthy resiny aroma. Really nice aroma. Taste is thick hoppy resiny, but well balanced by the malt. Finishes with a nice hoppy bitterness.
