It poured a light amberish gold with a thick white head. Hoppy aroma with light citrus fruits. Medium bodied mouthfeel. Lots of orange, lemon, and pine on the tongue. Nice dry bitter finish. A good IPA. My first in a while. beastiefan2k (1603), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 23, 2009 I rated this beer just to move up the Blue Point top raters list, I actually haven’t rated the 2 most common brews. Fortunately, this is a beer I actually like and have had numerous samples over numerous years. This particular rate was on tap at Rattle’n’Hum, imperial pint to boot as well. Aroma is all hoppy (fruit punch and sweet bubblegum) and fresh. Flavor is similar with no malt getting in the way at all. Easy drinking stuff, good hop character with no flaws. I can see myself keep drinking this for years to come. brewblackhole (1381), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 10, 2008 The first whiff knocked me off my feet. Intense resin/pine aroma... by far my favorite. Flavor is not so great but still pretty good. More piney hops with a little orangey citrus notes. This may sound weird but I say it as a good thing... it tastes a little fishy. Very fresh cod to be exact. Nicely balanced by the sweetness of the malt. Cheers! sayravai (3733), Helsinki, Finland
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 29, 2006 (Bottled) Clear brandy-amber color with a very small head. Very grassy-hoppy aroma with blackcurrant, boysenberry and pine-resiny hints. Strongly birch-pine-grassy-hoppy flavor with herby strawberry leaves. Medium-bodied, dry and bitter, astringent palate with quite low carbonation. An enjoyable, bitter, good-quality, maybe slightly harsh IPA. Crockett (904), Steelback County, Ontario, Canada

Good mouthfeel. Flavour is far more simple than the nose might suggest. Sweet grapefruit and pine. Some candy, and grass/herbal finish. MullMan (1083), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA
