Poured with little to no head. The aroma is bitter, floral, piny smells. The taste is very bitter, wow, just bitter! A hint of maltyness to it also. The bitterness is great. Just the way I like my beer to taste. Great! BgThang (118), Texas, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 14, 2005 Updated: Apr 29, 2005Best before 7-05(12oz. bottle) Very fresh resin, citrus pine aroma with a sweet and somewhat bready malt back.A very nice golden ale with a nice head and healthy lacing. This IPA tastes like a great IPA should taste.Appropriatly hoppy with the right varieties and a good crystal malt sweetness, the hops win! That’s how IPA’s are supposed to be(according to my tastes) This is a top ten brew in my book for the style. Reminds me of a two hearted ale but I only have one of those to remember,I will have many of these at a great price to enjoy in the future.Session hop love for the hophead. Tastes very hoppy, and balanced with a great fruity, spicy finish. Wonderful balance and incredible complexity. One of my big surprises of 2005.
