| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 4, 2006 Orange with a thick off-white head. Spotty lacing. Aroma of sweet grapefruit and pine resin. Sweet malts and spice flavours balanced out the hops, maybe a little too much so, and there was some residual yeast on the finish (though it could just be from this specific rack). Palate was basically watery for the style, but this beer is still very drinkable and it might appeal to those pale ale drinkers turned off by the "hop bombs" of some IPAs. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 2, 2009 orangish with white head. moderate carbonation. grassy hop to the nose. solid hop bitterness comes through, some type of Western US hop. hop flavor with Columbus’s classic grassy notes. malt backbone comes through, but is somewhat metallic and not very enjoyable. clean finish, little esters, but some. an average IPA at best, but I do enjoy the Columbus usage. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 27, 2007 Pours a hazy orange with a medium sized head that retains poorly. The aroma is of grapefruity hops, pine, sour peach and other citrus scents. The flavour is floral and hoppy with a malty, fruity finish that doesn’t last long enough. The palate is almost syrupy, especially in the finish. The lacing is impressive, leaving a film that coats the whole glass. Overall, this IPA is better than average, but not outstanding, as it has nothing unique or noteworthy about it. grandet (486), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2008 On tap. Nice copper color, with little head served. Floral, pined hops on the nose with a decent sugared malty presence. Smell was a little restrained. Well balanced body with a strong, but quickly dissipating toasted caramel presence, graduating into a lihgt watery mouthfeel touched with a lingering hop backbone. n49921 (108), USA
