May 26, 2005 deep golden color with everlasting thick head. wonderful fruity and spicy aromas. this is a relatively mild IPA with a clean finish. Great beer.

Jun 22, 2009 Updated: Jun 23, 2009Fairly strong and even mixture of citrus and pine smelling hops on the nose. Aroma of caramel is also prevalent. Slightly hazy golden color medium white head. Medium body. Outstanding cantaloupe, apples, and pine needle flavor. Honey and apple core finish. Wow! Excellently balanced. Good complexity. Unique. There is a moderate metallic taste that bears mentioning, but other than that this is a delight.

Jul 13, 2007 The aroma is bitter with bits of berry and floral scents. The taste is biting hops with an almost cherry hint. A good beer on a hot summer day and beer I reach for again and again.

Impression:Dark, Hazy, Amber, Cloudy. Floral, sweet. Tasty. Long aftertaste, delicious. Served too cold to taste. Whole roof of mouth is activated. Nice hoppy flavors. IPA style throughout.

Mar 2, 2008 This beer was a real pleasure, being a Long islander I was proud that such a great IPA was brewed so close. Can’t say I’m a fan of the bottle or the name really but man is this a great IPA, it’s hoppy and well balanced. I highly recommend this beer to any true IPA lover.

Nov 26, 2007 Pale amber copper pour. Citrus hoppy smell, not overwhelming. Sweet hoppy taste with good mixture of orange citrus.

Jul 8, 2009 Draft in Portsmouth, NH. Amber with a lasting quarter inch of creamy foam. Aroma of caramel malt and citrus. Front of big caramel malt is nicely dried by resin and grapefruit finish. Near-medium body is smooth and well-dried on the end.

Mar 13, 2007 Bottle. To me IPAs are all about aromas, and this beer has it in spades. A perfect balance of moderate smells of hops and malt. Notes of caramel, cookie and grapefruit immediately stood out. Hints of pine, dough and maybe a little cherry follow. Head is frothy with excellent lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is a clear orange/red. Taste starts out lightly acidic and is lightly bitter in the long finish. Palate is medium light, oily with soft cabonation. I can’t wait to visit this brewery next time I’m in LI.
