a little hot on the palate, very nice hoppyness but could taste the high alcahol content

Dark golden body, piney and sweet nose, offwhite head. Piney hops, balanced bitterness, creamy mouthfeel, a little smoky, sweet malts.

(draft) Beige head atop crystal clear amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange/grapefruit/mango. Taste is moderately sweet, pine/grapefruit, some tropical fruit, caramel. Medium-full body, some stickiness.

Draft at Max’s. Clear burnt orange amber color, soft white foamy head. First smell is great, but my nose doesn’t stay impressed over the course of the drink. First scent, however, is all sticky, sugary hop cones, dank marachino cherry scents and sweet pineapple. When warmer there’s a bit of rusty metallic hop scents that I don’t like at all. Full of grapefruit sour hop flavors, sour but not bitter, syrupy and sweet at the same time, with sugary gummi bears, burnt oranges and peach rind flavors, but it doesn’t really gel very well.

On tap @ Coles Buffalo NY. A little disappointed in this one. Can I get some hops in my grapefruit juice?

TAP NY 07. Pours a medium to light amber with a decent lasting fluffy off white head and nice lace. Aroma is citrus hops, some piney, mango, a bit tropical, but I also got too much grass and even slight asparagus hints. Flavor was a bunch of american hops, moslty piney and citrus, but also noticed awierd off plasticy phenolic quality with some smokey burnt hints- almost a matchstick quality which is indicating infection. Motuhfeel is ok, and has a wierd bitterness in the end. Dissapointing from Blue Point to see this.

Tap at TAP NY 2007: Started off somewhat promising...Pours a deep orange with a very large frothy and well sustained head. Fruity and bright aroma, almost berry-like, yet it was slightly artificial and perfumy (not like pure hop resins or juicy) The flavor is astrigent, perfumy and syrupy with a burning backgroundand a harsh bitter finish. Sometimes IIPAs have no hop character, rather they just kill your taste buds with an unidentifiable assertiveness. Dissapointing.

I had this beer on tap, at Isacc Newtons in Newtown. The appearance is "fuckin good amber" as I said. I had a stuffed nose, and I could STILL smell the hoppines. Citrusy, very well hopped aroma. So I knew this was going to be good. I took a sip and I felt like I was blown away. It hits you from begining to end. The moment it hits your palate it lingers long after you swallow it.
