| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jul 7, 2007 Pours a deep brown to black color with that brown head characteristic of a stout. Aroma is coffee with slight chocolate and oatmeal notes thrown in. Taste is very smooth and moderate, but still strong. Not the best oatmeal stout, but very very good. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jun 28, 2007 An unusual stout that was like breakfast in a glass. Starts off with nice basic folgers coffee taste and ends with an unusual bacon flavor. It does come back to the coffee flavor though and in the end you’re happy. bonbright7 (174), Bellport, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 17, 2007 I bought a growler of this for Father’s Day and I found it to be different from the sample I had tasted at the brewery. As the very dark brown ale poured well, it showed its elements of coffee in a middle weight taste. I had 2 pints of it and found it was easy to drink.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 10, 2007 This beer poured perfect deep black. It had notes of cocoa, coffee, and caramel on the nose. The mouthfeel was a creamy version of cocoa and coffee. It has a great weight on the mouth and finished quite nicely! MartinT (5068), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 30, 2007 My Bottom Line:
Creamy chocolate spreads onto the coffee roastiness, as oatmeal adds some crunch and chewiness. A very good Stout from this fine Long Island brewery.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the opaque blackness.
-The low hoppiness is appropriate, letting the glorious malts show themselves.
-The cask mouthfeel suits this beer perfectly, ensuring maximum drinkability.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 18, 2007 Draught at Brazen Head. Nice dark roasted malt (coffee/chocolate) aroma and flavor, with a clean roasty bitter finish-- i.e. no lactic sourness or meaty broth notes detected. Smooth palate. Nice pleasing sessionable stout.
