Light toffee toastiness rounds with just a hint of spicy hops. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not half bad... obguthr (1055), Poquoson, Virginia, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 5/5 | 9/20 | Sep 24, 2009 Weak mushroomy aroma of barley malt. Immaculately clear amber, with a thin white head. Barley flavor, a bit on the tinny side. Slightly creamy mouthfeel with tart cherries and vanilla in the end. An undetermined bitterness throughout. It has some unique qualities, but misses the mark too. urbnhautebourg (974), Annapolis, Maryland, USA

It had considerable sweetness, some depth of flavor and was not overly toasty. Nothing wrong here at all. FROTHINGSLOSH (2036), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

The aroma was tangy, tart and sour malts with just a touch of fruity hops. The flavor was nutty, sour and tangy with light fruity hops and a touch of caramel. The finish was short, bitter, nutty and dryish. Ok. Beerman6686 (1292), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 15, 2009 A decent Oktoberfest. Aroma was pretty good. Caramel, toast and toffee with an underlying lager smell. Pour was a nice dark gold/light brown with a thin off white ring for a head. Taste was decent in the beginning. Caramel and toffee in the front but the aftertaste got sour and had the nasty lager byproduct that I don’t remember the name of but happens while it ferments. Could be good without that aftertaste. blipp (1708), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 13, 2009 Draft. Pours copper amber with an off white head. Toasty malt aroma, with toffee, grain, and a light buttery hint. The flavor has toasty sweet malt, toffee, and grain. Decent. Birdiebeagle (807), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2009 Bottle Pours a clear amber with a good off white head. The head is frothy and deminishing. It produces spotty lacing. Aroma is of grain and bread. Has an okay carbonation. The flavor starts of with heavy grain but settles into and anice flavorful beer with touches malt and light spice. Has a medium body. A watery texture. The finish is good and has a good aftertaste. This beer needs to settle a bit to rid you of the graininess but when it does it is very drinkable and good.
