Commercial Description:
Blue Point Octoberfest is another palate-pleasing seasonal brew. Originally brewed in 1810 to celebrate the betrothal of the Crown Prince of Bavaria, Blue Point continues the celebration by traditionally brewing this special malty amber lager every October. Octoberfest lager is stored cold for 2 months to ensure its distinct smooth flavor. Tap a pint and celebrate the season!

I actually thought this was a very good version of an Oktoberfest. It had considerable sweetness, some depth of flavor and was not overly toasty. Nothing wrong here at all.

Bottle. Not my favorite style, but less like an overspiced micro oktoberfest and more like a smooth european marzen. This beer is nice on the palat and easy drinking.

Light copper with thin white head. Sweet caramel malt aroma. Good carbonation and hoppy but still maintains a slightly sweet caramel malt profile and finishes clean. An easy beer to drink.

Bottle. Clear orange copper with receding bubbly head. Aroma is herbal with grain. Flavors of caramel, grain, and plastic. Coating mouthfeel with bubbly carbonation.

Hazy amber color: Creamy aroma, malt and straws. Smooth mouthfeel, reasonable malt flavor, medium-light body, light vanilla touch; low bitterness. Pleasant.

Pours a very light amber with a fading head. Tyical of the style but underwhelming in all aspects. Especially light bodied and watery. Pass.

Bottle from a friend. Caramel in color with tan foamy head. Smells a bit sweet and bready. Taste is more on the sweeter malt side, very little hops present. Ok.

12oz bottle pours a crystal clear slightly copper orange with a frothy, active white head. Crisp, malty aroma, dry crackers, biscuit, a little vegetal. Flavor is classic octoberfest, malty, sweet, caramel, honey, crackers. Wet finish. Sessionable, nice.

12oz bottle, thanks nimbleprop. Small off-white head atop clear light amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, strawberry, light caramel. Taste is moderately sweet, strawberry, light bread/caramel. Light-medium body, slightly watery.
