Commercial Description:
Blue Point Brewing's Pale Ale has a light golden color but explodes with a rich full-flavor. This refreshing ale is top fermentated and hopped at three different stages of the brewing process. English pale malt lends complexity to this brew. Small amounts of Wheat and Carapils round out the malt bill. Brewed to satisfy the hop lover, this pale ale has an immediate floral-citrus flavor that pervades the overall character of this hoppy, quenching microbrew.

on tap-pours an offwhite head with copper color. Aroma is sweet medium malt, hops. Taste is equal malt and hops, but not quite right. OK carbonation.

Plastic sample cup at the brewery tasting room. Color is macro colored yellow with a weak flimsy head. Slightly hoppy aroma followed by a moderately hopped taste. I wouldnt call it an APA but a hoppy pale ale. A weak malt presence. Finish is moderate bitterness. One demonsional, also get some cooked vegetable aroma.

Tap at the Brewery. Pale golden color, not much head. Floral/Citrus aroma, lightly bitter to the taste, dry. Not much to speak about. the produce better with more taste.

Cask at Brazen Head, Downtown Brooklyn. Clear amber/orange with a decent white head, leaving some sheets of lacing. Aroma of citrusy hops. Flavor of grapefruit zest hops, with a tea-like dryness and astringency and a resiny hop finish. My only problem was that it had a too thin, soapy and watery body (which could be viewed as "drinkable" or "goes down smooth"). I’d prefer a bigger palate, but otherwise a pretty good session APA.

On tap at the brewery. Pours Golden, diminishing white head. Herbal hop aroma. Slight malt character, mainly dry hops, drop of honey and a grapefruit bitterness. Not bad.

cask, gravity pour @ Goodbar Special beer night. Body is a hazy gold, veryt hin head w. large bubbles. Nose is first & foremost glorious hop. PLenty of tangerene, citrus (orange, lemon, pineapple) gives way to some light caramel malt. Flavor is light hay, light caramel, orange, resin, tropical fruit. THis is far from the best IPA I’ve had but extremely drinkable.
