The cherries show a sweetness on the nose along with the choclate notes. The moutfeel really brings out the sweet cherris and the coffee of the stout. It has ncie balance with decent weight to it. Go sour cherries next time! Dogfisherman (9), mount laurel, New Jersey, USA does not count | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 28, 2007

Draft in a pint glass from Max’s in Baltimore
Pours a dark rich black color with a med-small light tan head. Sweet smells of dark roasted malts with a slightly fruity aroma to complement. The burnt smoky roasted taste is predominate upon first sipping, thinner body than other stouts with a quick to sharp sweet aftertaste that blends the sweet fruity taste along with roasted nut.
Will be trying to go by season and style when possible, with special cellared ales on special occasions.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 18, 2007 Nice stout with a roasted cherry taste. Chocolate notes abound as well as a strong creamy maltiness. Alcohol is not oppressive but obvious. Dry finish. ¾ (5003), Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 15, 2007 Draft at Max’s, called Blue Point Sour Cherry Imperial Stout. Deep reddish brown colored body, a bit of light at the edge of the glass, with a tan-cream colored head. Moderately thick up front, lactic sour with some char coating and some light but a little unpalatable roast. Then it turns sickly, with the sour lactic cherries a bit of a mess... does not go well with the char and roast at all. It’s not a candied cherry flavor, but it’s still nothing great. Mildly dry and parched palate, lots of milk/cream/lactic flavors along with roasted grains. Weak on chocolate and coffee, more centered around the cream and grain flavors. Nose is heavy lactic acid and light roast. OK overall, nothing great, below average for imperial stout. swoopjones (1920), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 18, 2007 Draft at DRE. Deep black/ruby edged pour, with creamy, 1-finger tan head. Aroma of heavy dark chocolate, molasses, dark malt, mild cherry. Tastes rich and roasty dark malty, with dark chocolate and subdued cherry notes. Rich, creamy palate, with solid complexity. I had two glasses of this and will likely growler it in the future. This is a very good beer. michael-pollack (2729), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 14, 2007 Hand-bottle courtesy of Dickinsonbeer, sampled in November 2006: Pours a nearly opaque dark mahogany with ruby hues and a thin, wispy tan head. Has a sweet cherry fruity aroma along with some roasty malt and dark chocolate. Body starts lightly caramely sweet revealing some semi-tart fruity cherries toward a complex, balanced finish. A good, unique brew.
