Commercial Description:
Blue Point Brewing's Summer Ale has a delicious golden taste. In addition to traditional barley malt; a substantial portion of wheat malt is added to the mix giving this brew a unique tartness that's not found in many beers today. A small amount of lemon is added with one other "special" ingredient that all combine together to produce a light, thirst-quenching, citrus flavor microbrew enjoyed by all on a hot, Long Island Summer day.

12 oz bottle-pours a foamy white head and yellow color. Aroma is husk/cereal/light malt, herbal/vegetal. Taste is husk/cereal/light malt-some caramel, herbal/vegetal, slight continental hops. Cardboard-mild/minimum carbonation. Very American Pale Lager (macro) like.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma of some melony/pomegranate notes, but mostly wheat/grain. Flavor almost entirely stalish grain, ever so slight bittering hops. Not good.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a light orange with a small white head. Aroma of corn, butter, and wheat. Flavor of initial spices with a stale wheat finish. Some light sweet malt creeps through as the beer warms. Pretty bad...
