TeamTrappist (363), jericho, New York, USA Nov 1, 2009 Tap. Pours a dark amber with a thin head. Nose is sweet malts. A decent lager with an acceptable malt finish. Some sweetness and some hops add balance. Easy drinking. Yves (989), Beerse, Belgium Nov 1, 2009 Clear amber coloured beer with small white head and few carbonation. Sweet fruity aroma. Full light sparkling palate. Finish is bit bitter. CUJO (339), Brooklyn, New York, USA Oct 26, 2009 bottle: weizen: clear amber pour leaving 1 finger of white head... decent lacing. Nose is soft, roasted qualities, sugars, malts. This is a very even tempered, average brew. rollingwood (8), Maryland, USA does not count Oct 17, 2009 Poured clear and tea-colored with a natural one-inch, off-white head which flattens out quickly; Belgian lace persists until the last swallow. Pleasant citrus/pine nose in the pour. Taste characterized mostly by clean yeast with little malt distinctiveness. The finish is slightly bitter. All in all this is a fairly smooth brew. The ’toasted’ threw me off somewhat, as there is nothing in the flavor that bespeaks ’toasted’. Somewhat timid hop/malt profile, though a good summer brew. mnurda (434), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Oct 14, 2009 On tap at some restaurant in Long Island. Went well with the calamari appetizer. DHHAR528 (4), Harrison, USA does not count Sep 25, 2009 Smooth and clean with fair smooth head. Slight citrus to open with hints of pine. Mild smoke in the finish. jacobwennbom (274), Uppsala, Sweden Sep 12, 2009 Pours amber with off white, brownish, head. Fresh smell, full of american hops (that is citric). Taste is bitter, more so than I had expected. Also a bit metallic. It has a sting to that lasts. Some caramelly sweetness is there as well along with a slight burnt taste. Enjoyable! TheCaptain (526), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 9, 2009 Had a brew at the Buckley Tavern on the Pa-Delaware border. Copper brown pour with finger foam off white head. Slight toast and malts on the nose into the palate. Malt smooth with a light grain texture. A hop note towards the end. Fresh, even bodied beer and a good compliment with my tasty meat loaf.
