Copper in color this brew is made from Six different malts including: English Pale, Crystal, Munich, Carapils, Wheat and Belgian Caravienna. Toasted Lager displays a balanced flavor of malt and hop which makes it easy drinking. Special lager yeast is used to produce that long lasting, smooth finish. The "toasted" part of the name refers to our direct-fire brew kettle; hot flames imparts a toasted flavor to our most popular microbrew.

Free sample at Mo’s in Fairfield. Good beer, little bit of a dry finish. Noticable use of hops, and nuts. . A little bigger than your run of the mill lager.

Draft sampled. Pours a amber/orange color with a small off-white head. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel, and some grass. Flavor is toasted grain, malts, mild caramel, and some notes of fruitness with a light hop bitterness

On tap at Piano’s in NYC. Pours light brown with a whitish head. The aroma is all malt (no noticeable hops) and very standard fair with lightly toasted malt. The beer has a medium body with typical carbonation. The taste is once again typical for an unoffensive lager, but there is a bit of butteriness. Thankfully that isn’t overpowering. Fair at best.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. An amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, and so is the flavor thoug added light notes of spices. The body is thin.

4/21/2008: Blue Point Toasted Lager pousr amber-orange with a medium to large foamy off-white to beige-colored head. The aroma and flavor are both floral with some butterscotchy malt and subtle toast. This beer has a medium-light to medium body. It tasted okay, but I should have just had another pint of <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/sixpoint-righteo Righteous Rye instead!

Pint (draught) at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in New York City (Harlem). Rating #225 for this beer...

Not bad at all. Had on the Long Island Railroad on the way home. Definitely was ok considering. The aroma has a nutty caramel note to it. The appearance is amber. The flavor is smooth, caramel and nutty. The finish is unremarkable. Not bad, good for a beer you can get on the railroad.

Slightly coppery aroma. Follows through with a lightly metallic malty flavor. OK.
