Commercial Description:
Blue Point Brewing's Toasted Lager is our flagship product. Copper in color this brew is made from Six different malts including: English Pale, Crystal, Munich, Carapils, Wheat and Belgian Caravienna. Toasted Lager displays a balanced flavor of malt and hop which makes it easy drinking. Special lager yeast is used to produce that long lasting, smooth finish. The "toasted" part of the name refers to our direct-fire brew kettle; hot flames imparts a toasted flavor to our most popular microbrew.

Draft. Malt aromas of roasted and nutty and hops smell of pine and herbs with dough, smoke and dates. Fizzy white head with fair lacing and is mostly dimishing, color is a nice copper/brown. Flavor starts lightly sweet and finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is light/medium, watery, with lively carbonation and a nice dry finish. I’ve had this beer in a growler from the brewery and remember it having deeper aromas and flavors, still a nice drinking lager.

The beer pours a orange amber colour wtih a thin shortlived head which fizzes down to some decent lacing. The aroma is nutty with notes of fresh hops. The flavour has strong fresh hop notes with light malt sweetness which lends some subtle caramel flavours. The mouthfeel of the beer however needs some serious improvements, the beer is watery from start to finish with the only saving grace being a decent hoppy dry finish. If you like this beer then see if you can get your hands on a Brooklyn Lager, it does everything this beer does but much better. This beer on a whole is still pretty decent though.

Not a bad lager. Tastes a lot like toast that has been extra toasted. Dark amber color for a lager with not too much of an aroma some toasty breainess. flavor had some nice toast flavor, but traditional clean lager flavor with some hop bitterness, a slight bit of lemon. medium in palate with a long finish

Pours an amber-brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is largely of toasted almonds. Taste is almond with hop and malt characteristics thrown in as well. I love this beer and could drink it every hot summer evening.

A reasonably good but unexciting vienna. Starts out with some good flavor but ends watery and wanting.

From tap, pours a light brown with a medium head that disappears rather quickly. Has a slightly bitter nutty aroma. Flavor had a certain roasted malty caramel quality to it. Nothing special on the palate although slightly dry.

Poured a copper color with small head which left quickly no lacing. Aroma was of caramel malts some nuttyness. Flavor was nice caramel nuts and some hops in the finish. Mouthfeel was dry. Solid lager.
