Commercial Description:
Blue Point Brewing's Toasted Lager is our flagship product. Copper in color this brew is made from Six different malts including: English Pale, Crystal, Munich, Carapils, Wheat and Belgian Caravienna. Toasted Lager displays a balanced flavor of malt and hop which makes it easy drinking. Special lager yeast is used to produce that long lasting, smooth finish. The "toasted" part of the name refers to our direct-fire brew kettle; hot flames imparts a toasted flavor to our most popular microbrew.

A yellow colored beer with very little body and complexity. The toasted flavor is what is initially apparent and then the citrusy hops follow.

rosey amber color. I’m not sure what made this lager "toasted". it was really just a slightly sweet traditional lager. nothing special

Sampled on draft at Rivertowne Inn in North Huntington PA this beer poured a vibrant bright golden color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma was light tangy malts and floral hops. The flavor was sour and tangy malts with a light body and a crisp floral hop presence. The hops linger on the finish. Very basic.

Deep golden pour with a compact white head. Looks very oily, but smells quite crisp. Very pleasant aroma of flowery hops, light smoke, toasty bready malts and vanilla. Flavor is surprisingly balanced, very smooth and satisfying. Palate was light, leading into a refreshing finish. Nothing stands out, except great quaffability. I drank the whole sixpack in one sitting. This beer may be easygoing and very mild, but sometimes that profile creates a memorable and enjoyable experience. What a wonderful session beer. I can’t stop thinking about what a perfect beer this would be to exploit for the purpose of bringing more unknowing souls into the craft beer fray.

This is about as clean as a lager can get. Awesome palatte is light and full flavored at the same time. The finish is smooth. Hops and malt coexist without either taking a firm lead. The nose is bready and carbonation is light and tight. Pours a light bronze with a medium sized off white head. Great session brew that screams for chips and dip.

On tap at Capone’s in Brooklyn. Toasted malt is obvious, but the palate is light and clean, so it’s buttery, but not overly heavy. Really nice for a lager and one I’ll be looking for again

Enjoyed a pint of this one on draught at the Brick House Brewery in Patchogue, NY. Pours to a beautiful, bright, deep golden, to light amber color, with a tight white head. The nose is very nice, with good pale and light toasted malt aroma. The palate is firm, with really good pale malt and lightly buttered toast flavor, on a clean, polished body. This beer finishes with more really good pale and toasted malt flavor up front, and then finishes with just enough herbal hop bittereness to balance. "Toasted" is a very apt descriptor here. You really get good toasted malt aromas and flavors, and this is just an excellent, flavorful, drinkable lager. Really impressive on draught, and a great guest tap at the Brick House.
