Commercial Description:
Blue Point Brewing's Toasted Lager is our flagship product. Copper in color this brew is made from Six different malts including: English Pale, Crystal, Munich, Carapils, Wheat and Belgian Caravienna. Toasted Lager displays a balanced flavor of malt and hop which makes it easy drinking. Special lager yeast is used to produce that long lasting, smooth finish. The "toasted" part of the name refers to our direct-fire brew kettle; hot flames imparts a toasted flavor to our most popular microbrew.

Tap: Very small white head with a light amber body. First taste is of water then a little bit of malt. No real distinct malt flavor was outstanding. This beer really tasted like bready water.

<!-- i -->Tap @ La Guardia<!-- /I --> Pours light amber, effervescent body with a copperish color. Thin foamy white head, most receding. Aroma of grapefruit, mango, pine, pretty much all hoppy flavors. Taste is fruity from the hops, caramel, mango, pine, maybe some toffee. Perhaps it’s because I’ve been drinking entirely beers with continential hops for the past 30 days, but this beer tasted deliciously hopped to me. In some ways this beer tasted like an ale. But this beer was hoppy and refreshing, which is a difficult combination to achieve. Delicious.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a nice amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is pleasantly malty, as well as the flavor. The roasted malty flavor is backed by a subtle hoppyness and a roasty finish with a touch of cinnamon. Smooth & balanced, pretty good.

Flour City Brewfest ’06’. Amber body with a frothy white head. Some toasted malt is present in the aroma along with some light hops. Some lighlty sweet malts initially followed by a dry toasty character and a touch of hops in the finish.

Via secret santa Summer 2006. The beer pours to a glowing amber body with a fizzy and quickly disapating white head. The aroma is cookies and toasted wheat bread. The flavor is quite toasty. Bread and sweet rolls. Tart wheat. Perhaps a touch of lemon zest. The palate is very easy to drink. Smooth and carbonated.
