Pours a pretty clear copper/cream soda color with a light straw head. Faint but refreshing aroma. The toasted part adds a nice range to the flavor which is well balanced with bitter in the front and a toasted malt in the background. Better then some of the copper ales I’ve had. beerbill (1956), Laurel, New York, USA

This beer has gone downhill since my original rating. There was no trace of any toasted flavor in this beer. Some sweet malt and light hops, otherwise nothing unique or special about this beer.
Original Rating 11/25/2005.Growler. Pours a clear copper color with a moderate head. Light aroma of malt and hops. Slightly sweet flavor. I was expecting a little more of the "toasted" malt flavor, otherwise an enjoyable beer.

Pours a clear slightly bubbly orange with a small white head. Nicely balanced aroma and flavour of malt and light hops. I don’t like most Lagers and when I do they tend to be Vienna style and this one doesn’t dissapoint -- this is very enjoyable! GregClow (2496), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Nice orange-amber colour with a moderate white head. Both aroma and flavour have a good malt/hop balance, with some honey notes in the finish. Nothing outstanding or unique here, just a solid take on the style. tupalev (2617), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Decent aroma - malt and English hops. Nice malt taste you would expect from a Vienna, with some additional light hops. Sort of sweet, which lingers. A very nice beer. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 11, 2005 Bottle (12oz). Poured clear amber-gold with a decent white head. Aroma slightly vegetal, but mostly a pleasant mild blend of light roast malt, dry hops and generic (non-corn) grain. Taste is pretty lively, sharp, I can taste the hops (orange juice, fairly fresh) and malt! Very nice toasty lager - and I usually hate lagers. Refreshing.
