Copper in color this brew is made from Six different malts including: English Pale, Crystal, Munich, Carapils, Wheat and Belgian Caravienna. Toasted Lager displays a balanced flavor of malt and hop which makes it easy drinking. Special lager yeast is used to produce that long lasting, smooth finish. The "toasted" part of the name refers to our direct-fire brew kettle; hot flames imparts a toasted flavor to our most popular microbrew.

draft at Port Jeff Bar: dark amber pour with lasting head. Grassy hops lingers but malt is also prominent. A solid beer, and best thing on tap there.

Poured a very deep amber brown with a slight head. Malt aroma, toasty, faint hay hops. Flavor matched. Honestly, this was a heck of a lot like a Vienna I just homebrewed, so I was pretty happy with trying this commercial version and finding it quite recognizable. Might have shaded my judgment, but I enjoyed this beer. I should note that my malt profile didn’t look but so much like what they describe though! Nicely done beer.

Pours a deep copper with fairly thick white head that slowly dissipates. Pleasant aroma of sweet roasted malt. I also pick up a subtle hint of honey nut cheerios. Roasted malt flavors with a touch of cashew and honey. Relatively crisp and a subtle hoppy aftertaste that only lingers shortly. I want to say it’s fairly dense for a simple brew, if that makes sense.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle with no lot number of expiration date listed. The pour is dark copper with excellent clarity and a short-lived off-white head the completely dissipates after about a minute. The aroma is a mxture of toasted malts and slightly floral. The body is light to medium and the taste is bitter and tart with an adequate note of malts. Ends dry.

Draft at Beer Bourbon and BBQ Festival in Richmond VA on 5-30-09. Hazed amber. Spicy hops, sweet malt and dried fruit int eh nose. Taste is malty and sweet with more spicy hops, caramel, light toffee and a touch of honey. Some grass as well. Body is light-medium and clean. Creamy carbonation. Ends with more grassy hops, toasted malt, caramel, light toffee, and light spicy hops.

Bought 6 pack at Traders Joe. Pours amber with a huge long lasting white head. Aroma of grassy hops and light toasted malt. Tastes lemony hops at the beginning with a dry spicy hop finish. Malt character is very muted for Vienna. Would be not bad for the half the price I paid.

Looks like an APA, nice deep golden color. Some small minimal bubbles, appearance under a wheaty-, sour/bitter aroma. A malt-heavy taste, but not sweet like malty beers can be. A slight hop taste, but more of a slight bite than any real flavor. Good beer.
