Commercial Description:
Blue Point Brewing's Toasted Lager is our flagship product. Copper in color this brew is made from Six different malts including: English Pale, Crystal, Munich, Carapils, Wheat and Belgian Caravienna. Toasted Lager displays a balanced flavor of malt and hop which makes it easy drinking. Special lager yeast is used to produce that long lasting, smooth finish. The "toasted" part of the name refers to our direct-fire brew kettle; hot flames imparts a toasted flavor to our most popular microbrew.

Bought 6 pack at Traders Joe. Pours amber with a huge long lasting white head. Aroma of grassy hops and light toasted malt. Tastes lemony hops at the beginning with a dry spicy hop finish. Malt character is very muted for Vienna. Would be not bad for the half the price I paid.

Looks like an APA, nice deep golden color. Some small minimal bubbles, appearance under a wheaty-, sour/bitter aroma. A malt-heavy taste, but not sweet like malty beers can be. A slight hop taste, but more of a slight bite than any real flavor. Good beer.

Pours a deep amber almost no head. Aroma is of biscuits, pale malt and grassy hops. First sip is some malt followed by a very dry, almost watery finish. Not bad.

On tap at Ulysses’ in NYC. Pours a beautiful clear amber with a nice, off-white head that has great retention and leaves very good lacework. Aroma of doughy malt, some slight toffee, caramel. Taste is doughy, fresh caramel malt with excellent balancing hops. Clean, crisp, lager finish. Great session beer. I’m not a big fan of lagers, but this- like Brooklyn lager- is top notch and redeems the style.

Bomber cheap at rip and run. Muddled and mismatched malts prove this to be a bit of a roller coaster of body anmd taste. head was bright white and fizzy. blah.

Served on tap. Clear amber color with a full white head. Aroma has notes of caramel and fruit in addition to toasted malts. Flavor matches that with a slight hop finish. Very smooth and easy to drink. Not bad!

On tap at Capital Ale House - Downtown on 05/05/2009. Very clear pale amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet otasty and bready aroma. Sweet toasty and cereal flavor with some faint graininess. Medium light body with moderate carbonation.

fresh bottle. Neutral aroma, a beige coloured body without noticeable head. If you like toasted lager, this is for you. A little complexity in malt, so decent for style. Average mouthfeel and carbonation OK.
