Pours a beautiful clear amber with a nice, off-white head that has great retention and leaves very good lacework. Aroma of doughy malt, some slight toffee, caramel. Taste is doughy, fresh caramel malt with excellent balancing hops. Clean, crisp, lager finish. Great session beer. I’m not a big fan of lagers, but this- like Brooklyn lager- is top notch and redeems the style. coldbrewky (740), Saugerties, New York, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 23, 2009 fresh bottle. Neutral aroma, a beige coloured body without noticeable head. If you like toasted lager, this is for you. A little complexity in malt, so decent for style. Average mouthfeel and carbonation OK. GandGKevin (196), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 16, 2009 This amber pour has a malty "toasted" aroma. It is sweet, less toasted and has a nice hop finish. Dry and smooth. If the price per case comes down this would be a great staple. moelikebeer (220), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA

Light aroma of caramel. Flavor of caramel with a touch of hops. Light body with medium carbonation. Fairly basic, though I definitely enjoyed it. Would make a solid session beer. Thanks Andrew!
