Commercial Description:
Blue Point Brewing's Toasted Lager is our flagship product. Copper in color this brew is made from Six different malts including: English Pale, Crystal, Munich, Carapils, Wheat and Belgian Caravienna. Toasted Lager displays a balanced flavor of malt and hop which makes it easy drinking. Special lager yeast is used to produce that long lasting, smooth finish. The "toasted" part of the name refers to our direct-fire brew kettle; hot flames imparts a toasted flavor to our most popular microbrew.

Ehh, not impressed by this one. Had it on tap. Line possibly dirty? more likely the beer just lack substantial flavors. malty, some caramel undertones maybe? not a memorable beer

12 oz. bottle pours golden-copper in color with little head. A softly carbonated beer with medium body, the aroma is definitely malty with a mild spiciness. Front palate is malty with an almost leathery middle and lemony finish. Mild hoppiness. Nothing super extraordinary, but easy to drink. I wouldn’t be upset spending an afternoon with some clams casino and this beer on a pier somewhere.

Draft at Peekskill Brewery. Pours a crystal clear gently browned amber with a thin white head. Aroma is almost empty apart from a really subtle caramel and malt scent. Flavor is malty, almost like a macro lager scaled up and done well, but still rather dull. Finish is slightly bitter, and grainy. Drinkable, but not memorable, and probably not something I would wish to drink again.

On tap throughout Long Island. Pours a nice amber color with an off white head. Slight malt and touch of hop aroma. Nice easy drinking malt body with a touch of roasted malt and hop bitterness. Decent easy drinking beer.

bottle poured a light amber color with a thin white head. aroma is light in the malt department, some pilsner yeast, and faint sweetness. mouth feel is thin with high carbonation. flavor is somewhat bitter, mild hops creep in, and some minerals. finish has some lingering bitterness.

Blue Point Toasted Lager is a clear bronze color with a nicely formed light mocha head. The aroma is bitter and a bit gritty while the taste is malty with a full but non-descript finish.

Pours a nice amber/copper color with a finger and a half of fluffy, creamy looking head. A very clean and clear liquid that invites with such a gorgeous looking beer. Light toasted malt aroma with a faint hint of hops and [wait for it, wait for it] everything else. the aroma coming from my glass is pretty much like as useless as a ketchup popsicle is to a woman wearing white gloves. Very crisp and clean but hardly worth the price of admission. Some decent toasted flavors hidden beneath miles and miles of nothingness. It’s medium bodied but what’s the point when it has no really discerning flavors that make me really want another. This beer is as drinkable as coors light with twice the flavor and nearly twice the price. With such a low ABV I don’t think this beer has anything worth discussing. Nuff said...it’s ok but I’ll pass...have a Boston Lager instead.
