Commercial Description:
Blue Point Brewing's Toasted Lager is our flagship product. Copper in color this brew is made from Six different malts including: English Pale, Crystal, Munich, Carapils, Wheat and Belgian Caravienna. Toasted Lager displays a balanced flavor of malt and hop which makes it easy drinking. Special lager yeast is used to produce that long lasting, smooth finish. The "toasted" part of the name refers to our direct-fire brew kettle; hot flames imparts a toasted flavor to our most popular microbrew.

Pours a nice amber/copper color with a finger and a half of fluffy, creamy looking head. A very clean and clear liquid that invites with such a gorgeous looking beer. Light toasted malt aroma with a faint hint of hops and [wait for it, wait for it] everything else. the aroma coming from my glass is pretty much like as useless as a ketchup popsicle is to a woman wearing white gloves. Very crisp and clean but hardly worth the price of admission. Some decent toasted flavors hidden beneath miles and miles of nothingness. It’s medium bodied but what’s the point when it has no really discerning flavors that make me really want another. This beer is as drinkable as coors light with twice the flavor and nearly twice the price. With such a low ABV I don’t think this beer has anything worth discussing. Nuff said...it’s ok but I’ll pass...have a Boston Lager instead.

IT POURS A NICE COPPER COLOR WITH PLENTY OF CARBONATION. YOU CAN SMELL AND TASTE THE SMOKEY FLAVOR WITH OUT IT BEING OVER BEARING LIKE I HAVE HAD IN SOME ENGLISH BEERS.

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Fluffy off-white head with good retention. Malt from front to back with a sour finish.

On tap at the oyster bar below Grand Central Station. I really liked this beer, particularly in with oysters. Golden with bubbly white head. Slight roasty/toasty grain flavor and definite hop presence. Great session beer.

Nice golden to amber pour with a fizzling head. I find it quite refreshing, toasty-malt flavor, enjoyable aftertaste.

Bottle. A slightly old bottle, so I’ll give them a little benefit of the doubt. Slight roasted malt aroma. Roasted, malty flavor with a little hop bitterness. Poured orange with a decent sized head. Easy drinking, nothing spectacular but a solid brew.

This is a good beer. It is a nice amber beer that has a strong malt taste. I find it to be simular to a Youngling lager. It is a good session beer and can be consumed at any time of the year.
