Nice vienna style- perfect aroma- nice toasted and caramel malts with perfect hoppy balance. Taste is very good too. Tastes like brooklyn lager only better and smoother with more malts than hops. I bought this assuming it to be an average lager- but after just one sip I was shocked. One bottle is not enough- more people need to try this outstanding and little known brewery. Full bodied with almost an ale taste yet definitely a lager. Bottle was freshness dated. Wish I could buy this in NH. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Dec 12, 2006 Enjoyed a pint of this one on draught at the Brick House Brewery in Patchogue, NY. Pours to a beautiful, bright, deep golden, to light amber color, with a tight white head. The nose is very nice, with good pale and light toasted malt aroma. The palate is firm, with really good pale malt and lightly buttered toast flavor, on a clean, polished body. This beer finishes with more really good pale and toasted malt flavor up front, and then finishes with just enough herbal hop bittereness to balance. "Toasted" is a very apt descriptor here. You really get good toasted malt aromas and flavors, and this is just an excellent, flavorful, drinkable lager. Really impressive on draught, and a great guest tap at the Brick House. fbennett (293), Lowell, Massachusetts, USA

It poured a dark blonde basically a light brown with a foamy tan head. The aroma is initially sour musty with a sweet fruity background followed by a oaky vanilla flavor. The taste is fantastic, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, sugar cookies are all upfront with a pungent spicy lemon citrus background for balance. This is a playful lager that tantalizes the palate with sweet and funky notes.

Without a doubt, the buttery flavor left in my mouth after each sip is well worth the purchase. Braudog (3777), Dayton, Ohio, USA

Interesting aroma ...sweet and malty, yet with a floral overtone. The flavor is more pronouncedly malty, but extremely well balanced with a very light citrus twist. Excellent beer that even non nerds would enjoy well. ARMed (486), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA

Great color and appearance with excellent lacing and body. Very drinkable and excellent palate. No bad aftertaste or bitter finish. Very well done!
