| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 28, 2009 Had this a few times on draft including Mohegan Sun casino and Nags Head in Huntington NY. Pours a transparent, deep copper with a creamy, thin white head. Aroma is kinda bland, some maltiness and some sweetness but nothing real specific. Thin finish a touch dry. Flavor is fairly common, toasted malts, bread, some light sweetness. Nothing really separates this from a number of other amber ales, nor does anything distinguish this as winter seasonal. zdk (274), New York, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 23, 2009 This poured a dark red color with a white head. Aroma was pale and slightly roasted malt, and some lingering bittering hops as well. Flavor was a nice blance between malts and hops, nothing stands out but very smooth and possibly sessionable. rds (230), USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 3, 2009 12oz bottle 10/3/09 ($.99 Sam’s Wine & Spirits)-Pours a slightly hazy medium to dark amber with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, toffee, and slight chocolate. Taste of the same with some more chocolate and more sweetness coming through on the back end. This light to medium bodied brew is not bad. Jsawyer (287), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 14, 2009 Bottle. Third of an inch cream head atop a dark ruby body with amber highlights. Aroma is licorice malt, grainy caramel, chocolate undertones, cherry-pear fruitiness, and hint of orange zest. Flavor is primarily grainy caramel, cherryish, a carbonated orange zest bite, with a slightly vinous finish. Palate is medium bodied, well carbonated, and warming. The grainy flavors are really detracting to this beer, which would otherwise be good if it were slightly stronger.
