| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 5, 2005 This "red" was a clear, lively, amber/orange with a slight, cream-colored head. Weak aromas were faint malt, pepper and sour milk... hops emerged when it was too late. Well-balanced flavor ended on a bitter note. Smooth.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 23, 2005 Bottle. Small off-white head that mostly diminished, sparse lacing, fine, small, medium and very large bubbles, carbonated, hazy, and a dark orange hue. Aroma was malty and hoppy. Flavor was bitter, malty, some caramel and hoppy. Mostly smooth yet slightly tingly mouthfeel. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 23, 2005 This bottled brew poured a small sized head of tan colored finely sized foamy mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a hazy orange brown colored softly carbonated body. The aroma contained mild red malts with a hoppy bitter note. The mouth feel was tingly hoppy smooth and had a nice bitter aftertaste.. It had a hop malt flavor mixed into the bitterness for a nice combo. Very well done. GuilTTy (538), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 19, 2005 First of all, this is not an ESB. It’s really a standard Amber Ale. If there are traditional English malts or hops (Crystal malts/Fuggles hops), I missed them. Still, not a bad beer. Amber-red pour supporting a medium off white head. Floral and malty aroma. Sweet malty & citrus fruit hoppy flavor (pretty well balanced). Nothing really memorable about the finish aside from it being relatively clean. Overall, quite a bit better than the industrial ambers or any mass market brew out there but not worth seeking out - especially if you’re really looking for a good ESB. tbookman (618), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 15, 2005 Good crisp ale, malty with a hint of roasted nuts, slightly perfumy nose, and a crisp hoppiness more like an American Pale Ale than a classing ESB. This would be a good session brew. Cornfield (4972), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 12, 2005 Updated: Jul 23, 2005This poured an orange-copper with a huge off-white head that settles down but does some serious lacing. Its caramel aroma is nearly covered by strong fruity (apple, pear) scents. Medium-bodied, it delivers a fruity caramel taste well balanced by a solid herbal hop bitterness. Nod bad at all.
