| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 6, 2003 12 oz. bottle. Poured out a darker shade of a hazy copper color. Cloudy appearance to it. Smells of caramel, hops, and malts. Actually smells just like Bigfoot ale. Tastes very smooth, with a nice malt beginning to it. Has that classic Centennial hops bite to it as well. Finishes smooth, with a caramel aftertaste to it. A pretty good beer, all in all. edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 13, 2003 Quite malty and more bitter than an English Bitter. More like a US amber ale. Plenty of malt, but they get lost behind the hop assault. Why do I buy these beers? bender (293), Reynoldsburg, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 14, 2003 Poured a red body with a white head that quickly diminshes. No lacing.
Very hoppy aroma with an underwhelming malt presence.
'Biscuit-like' quality is there in the flavor with an almost IPA level hoppiness. Very strange combination of color, malt and hops that comes together nicely.
A bit of a chalky mouthfeel.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 19, 2002 Deep copper colored with significant floral hop and malt tones in the aroma. Thick malt flavor contributes to a caramely full body that finishes with mellow, not overly-assertive hop bitterness. A fine ESB.
